Concern for Community

Our Commitment To South Carolina

Keep the Midlands Beautiful Adopt-A-Highway Program

The last value in the Seven Cooperative Principles adopted by the NRECA emphasizes the importance of serving the community. We strive to create a better environment for the people in our area and look forward to next year’s project.

On November 2020, Central Electric Power Cooperative agreed to participate in the Keep the Midlands Beautiful Adopt-A-Highway program. Central employees have volunteered to do quarterly litter pickups on Burning Tree Road through 2026.

2022 School Supply Drive

Annual School Supply Drive

In support of William S. Sandel Elementary School, Central employees Tina Smedes and Chris Bass delivered supplies—including crayons, spiral notebooks, markers, pencils, and more—donated by Central employees on August 15, 2024. This is part of an annual effort by Central to support local schools and provide essential supplies for students.
